CMS and the editorial experience
Umbraco with block-based page building and support for multiple languages (SE, NO, EN), where editors can create and translate pages themselves.
Together with Brännehylte Lagersystem (BLS), we built a modern, block-based website using Umbraco and Next.js in three languages (Swedish, Norwegian and English). The result is a fast, editor-driven platform where the BLS team can create pages, product pages, customer case studies and a knowledge base themselves, without needing to involve developers for every change.
The challenge
BLS is a manufacturer with a wide range of offerings: warehouse solutions, warehouse fittings, services and a growing number of customer case studies and knowledge content. A website like this thrives on its content, so it is crucial that the team can create and update pages themselves as the business evolves.
The challenge was to build a platform that was both flexible and structured: flexible enough for editors to build any page they wanted, but consistent enough to ensure everything looked cohesive and maintained high performance.

Results
Editors can freely build pages using a set of content blocks. New product pages, customer case studies and campaign pages can be created without the need for developers, whilst ensuring the design remains consistent.
A Next.js front end makes the website fast and responsive, whilst content is easily managed in Umbraco.
The website supports Swedish, Norwegian and English, enabling BLS to reach customers in multiple markets. Translations are handled by the editors as part of the same workflow as other content.
Products, customer case studies and knowledge content are clearly structured, making it easy for visitors to find what they’re looking for and for BLS to build on this over time.
Project overview

The process
We started with the content: what page types were needed, how the three languages should be structured, and what building blocks the editors would have access to. The aim was to maximise freedom without compromising on consistency.
We built a flexible CMS in Umbraco with a fast front-end in Next.js, so that content and presentation could be developed separately.
We placed great emphasis on making it easy for BLS to create and update pages. The blocks are designed to be intuitive and forgiving, so that editors can work with confidence without needing any technical knowledge.
The result was a foundation on which BLS can grow: new pages, case studies and content are created on an ongoing basis by the team themselves, in all three languages.
Technology
The website combines a flexible, block-based CMS with a fast, modern front end. The result is a platform that is easy for editors to manage and delivers high performance.

Next.js for a fast, modern and responsive headless frontend.
We build headless platforms where your team owns the content and can develop it further on their own – quickly, flexibly and without having to rely on developers for every change.
